My friend, David Gould, is a pastor in Nashville, TN, but he also hosts The Good Morning Show from 7-8 am(CST) on 760 AM The  Gospel.  I’m his Tech Talk guest on Tuesdays, but last week he allowed me to share about some amazing things God is doing at Oakway United.

A life mission statement can keep you headed in the right direction.

How do you create a Tweetable Mission Statement?

What does that even mean?  I’ve been working on some life planning for myself, my family, and my church.  This past weekend I had the opportunity to share some thoughts on forming good habits with some ministerial students from Southern Wesleyan University.  One of the habits was to create a life mission statement to [Read more…] about The Tweetable Mission Statement

The Day After a Christian Conference

Was today any different?

Today I went to the Newspring Leadership Conference in Anderson, SC.  I love Christian Conferences and the people you meet there.  I’ve lost count of how many I’ve been to.  At every single one of them there was a life challenging nugget or a word from the Lord which is good because that’s why we go to those things.  There are tears of joy, [Read more…] about The Day After a Christian Conference

There are lots of great blogs out there and many of them are by pastors. Here are 4 reasons every pastor should blog.

1.  Blogging is a great way to communicate your church’s vision beyond Sundays.

Perry Noble does a great job of writing a “letter” to his [Read more…] about 4 Reasons Every Pastor Should Blog

Why and How I Use Twitter

I finally passed 20,000 Twitter followers!

I was not an early adopter of twitter.  However, soon I was running multiple accounts as I launched the Chase Your Lion blog.  I’ve tried to be very intentional with my social media strategy.  A year after joining I posted my thoughts on the 5 groups you see on twitter.  The past few months has been about simplifying my online presence by merging my blogs and phasing out some twitter accounts.  I’d like to answer the why, how, and [Read more…] about Why and How I Use Twitter
