Even Wesleyan Pastors Make Mistakes

I received a message last night that this blog had sent out upwards of 400 emails to everyone who subscribes to this blog via email.  First, let me offer my sincerest apologies for blanketing your inbox with what must have seemed like a spam attack from Uranus.  Even Wesleyan pastors make mistakes.

Secondly, I want to explain why this happened and how it relates to an important step in my life.  I have been blogging for over 5 years beginning on Myspace then Facebook then blogger.  Finally, I switched to wordpress.com and 2 years ago jumped to a hosted account with Bluehost when the Daily Dose of Heath was born.  Sadly, in late 2010, my blog was hacked and all was thought lost until I found a back up file of all the lost posts.  Last night, I uploaded those posts to this blog which accounts for many of the emails.  I have also been blogging, since 2009, at Chase Your Lion.  I was trying to keep 2 things going and it was fun for a while.  However, managing 2 blogs wasn’t the way I wanted to go anymore as I am trying to be more focused.  So…last night I transferred all the posts from Chase Your Lion to here as well…and cue all the other emails you received.

I know many of you probably unsubscribed or set all my emails to go straight to spam.  I totally understand.  However, I hope you will give me a second chance.

The merging of all my online content has been a long time coming.  Many of my early posts were simply online journals while Chase Your Lion was focused on Christian resources.  The Daily of Dose of Heath was meant to fun and funny while helping me refine my speaking skills and thoughts on current issues.

So, what will HeathMullikin.com be now.  If you answered D, all of the above you win a prize(because E, Yo Mama, was not an option this time-hat tip to all my old youth group kids).  This is who I am.  I’m a rural Wesleyan pastor trying to figure all of this out with the Lord’s help.  I’m gonna share the resources that have shaped my life.  I’m hoping this blog becomes the overflow of what the Lord is doing in my soul and He can take this thing wherever he wants to.

That means blogging, podcasting, The Techology Show, Tech Talk Tuesdays on The Good Morning Show, youtube, twitter, Facebook, and face to face is how I’m getting the word out about the greatest news ever.  That I was lost but now I’m found.  That I was once without hope, but now I’m without fear.  That Jesus Christ resides on the Throne of the Ruler of the Universe and His people are leading a rebellion against the prince of this world.  Who’s with me?
